MCT December Release Blog Hop

HELLO and welcome to the My Creative Time Release Blog Hop! You should have gotten here from Veronica's blog. If not, please start HERE at the My Creative Time blog to join in all of the fun!

I am very excited to be hopping along with these uber talented ladies this month!

SO many of you know that I recently got a sewing/embroidery machine. I digitized (with the help of my handsome husband Hans) My Creative Time dies and then imported them into my embroidery machine. The result - a festive hand towel to use in the kitchen for the loving season (which should be all year round!!)!

Anyway, I hope you like my projects and I am looking forward to doing this MUCH more in the future! You'll also see embroidery on cards as well!

This is what the hand towel looks like on my oven - perfect!

I couldn't stop there, so I made this quick koala shaped card as well!

And because I have gotten some requests to see my mini-valentine:

Doodlebug Project 3 - Beary Christmas

This was my favorite of the group. It's a shaped card that I sent to my best friend Kourt who is currently stationed in Crete (not a bad spot!). This is one of those "cuter in person" cards, but I hope you still like it!

Doodlebug Dropout

Haha. I thought it was a good title for a post! The alliteration is fantastic! :) I applied for the Doodlebug design team, but didn't get chosen. Boo hoo. Of course I'm disappointed, but I still LOVE Doodlebug!!!  I'll apply again next year. I thought I would share with you my entries for the application! Over the next three days I'll post my three projects! :)

First up is the home decor project. I did this right after Halloween so I was still in the mood!

December Kit - Cork Tree

Hello! I am the featured designer for Shop Pumpkin Spice for today! Each of the designers gets two days on the blog before the next DT term starts! :) Make sure to check them out all month long!

Designer's Note: This was NOT my original idea. This idea came from a booth at CHA and then someone pinned it and I grabbed that pin. Anyway, thought it was super cute so this is my casing of the project! :)
Second Note: the bottom cork is a champagne cork! This was my husband's idea. He's brilliant!

December Kit - First Sewing attempt!

Hello! I am the featured designer for Shop Pumpkin Spice for today and tomorrow! Each of the designers gets two days on the blog before the next DT term starts! :)

Here is a card that I made entirely from the kit. (oops! The doily came from SPS February Kit which is sold out. It was fellow SPS DT member June's idea! Brilliant!) The kit is kind of ridiculously awesome. You'll see pics from my projects all month long! I couldn't stop creating with it! :) The link is below if you would like to purchase it before it sells out!

There is actually stickles in the dots in the tree, but they didn't show up in the photo.

Exciting note: This is the VERY first card that I have ever sewn on!!! I just got a sewing/embroidery machine and watch out! I am a sewing fiend! Lovin' it! :)

I'm back, a project, and a crop!

Hey all!!! I am SOOO sorry I've been absent! I went on vacation to Maui (I know, rough!) and then when we were in Maui we got terrible news of someone passing away that was close to me. I flew back to help plan the memorial and support the family. Then Thanksgiving happened which I was hosting and all in all, I was definitely in survival mode!

Believe it or not, I have been on a new DT for a little over a month now! It's the Core'dinations Card DT which actually is the card design team for a new line called the David Tutera Celebrate Line! It's a step by step card system! It's pretty cool. Here is one of the cards that I made with it. My handsome husband actually helped with this one and gave me his opinions! It was fun to make a card with him!

Right now Core'dinations is hosting a hard core crop. I HIGHLY recommend participating as I did participate in the last one and won something! It was super fun!!! You can find all of the details HERE. You can even win David Tutera Celebrate Line goodies - picture below!

Hello and welcome to the SPS blog hop! You should have gotten here from my sweet friend June's blog! If not, start HERE at the beginning at Shop Pumpkin Spice!

Today I needed some more thank you notes so I whipped these up using My Mind's Eye: Sweetest Thing.

Once again, MME has created a collection where everything goes together SO easily! I had a hard time picking only two patterned papers!!! Of course I got all of this at Shop Pumpkin Spice!

Recipe:
MME: Sweetest Thing "Happiness" Cheerful Paper
MME: Sweetest Thing "Simply Lovely" Damask Paper
Ink: My Pink Stamper: Darkest Night
Ribbon: Summer Rose
White Cardstock: Bazzill Basics
ATG tape

Now hop on over to Lenae's blog who is our featured designer for this month! I am sure she came up with something super fab with the kit! I cannot wait to order it myself! :)

I made this for the My Mind's Eye Stamping challenge this month. I got all of my supplies at Shop Pumpkin Spice

I made this card super quickly, but had a great time doing it! Sometimes you just have to create something fun that isn't "publish worthy" but that just makes you happy!

Come back on Saturday for our hop! I have a super fun set of thank you cards that I made! :)

Authentique October Challenge

I used my handy-dandy Authentique 6x6 Paper Pad that I got at Shop Pumpkin Spice for this post! Love it!

The greenish-blue is the opposite side of the paisley paper. I LOVE the quality of the paper in the 6x6 pad and the AWESOME fact that the opposite sides have corresponding solids. Amazing for card makers.

I made this card for the Authentique October Challenge

It's a sketch challenge and I pulled out my Free Bird 6x6 Paper Pad for the task!

I had been waiting and waiting to use this paisley paper in there. It's so scrumptious!

Congratulations and pic of Emmaline!

A HUGE HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BLOGGY FRIEND JUNE!!!

***Scroll down for the Shop Pumpkin Spice blog hop!!!***

Have you seen the challenge over at Core'dinations for World Card-making Day???!!! Go play along! You have until the end of tomorrow to link up! :)

Here is a card that I whipped up in 7 minutes flat using the David Tutera Card Making Line (JoAnn's Exclusive!). My mom needed a card for a bridal shower that I was throwing.... when did she tell me? That morning. I thought, "I have just the thing". Honestly, it would have taken me even less time, but I had to decide on my sentiment. This card making system is SO easy to use. It's basically cheating. :)

If you hop on over to the David Tutera Facebook page, then you can stay in touch with what the card makers are doing and watch out for GIVEAWAYS!

To show you the shiny:

Here is my cutie-patootie! She just turned 2 months old!!! She is such a joy.

SPS Hop - Frankenstein

You should have gotten here from my friend Diana's blog! If not, start at the beginning at the Shop Pumpkin Spice blog

Confession: I HATE ricrac. I have the HARDEST time using it. But for this Halloween card, I thought it looked kind of electrifying. :)

Designer Tip: I actually used two different heat embossing powders. The "happy halloween" goes from silver to white and back to silver. Don't be afraid to mix it up!

Now hop on over to my sweet friend Lezlye's blog! She is sure to have whipped up something awesome for you!

Boo Turtle

Sorry this is going up late! I got SUPER bad pink eye and super bad light sensitivity. I have been in basically a dark room for days and am trying to write this with sunglasses on. haha. I'm quite a sight!

Anyway, here is my card using the September kit!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this kit!!! It's awesome.

The only things not from the kit were the Glossy Accents that I used on the fence, the Stickles (she has the black, but it's not up on the site. Just email her if you would like to purchase it!), the Cricut Cartridge and the Bo Bunny Double Dot paper  - all of which (besides the Cricut Cart) you can get a Shop Pumpkin Spice! :) Just click on the words for the links to the products!

Designer's tip: Don't be afraid to use Stickles. I used the black to outline the hat, his cheeks, and his tummy lines. I used two different colors on the witches hat to create a more shadow effect and add interest.

Have a beautiful day!!! :)

Shop Pumpkin Spice blog hop and a GIVEAWAY

You should have gotten here from Diana's blog! If not start at the beginning - the Shop Pumpkin Spice blog

This month's kit is SUPER fun! What other kit club do you:
1. Not have to subscribe to
2. Get to pick your own stamp set to go with the kit
3. Get SO much stuff for SUCH an amazing price?!?

I love this kit. Here is what I made with it:
Designer tip: I stamped the background with spiders and the sentiment and then stretched the black tulle from the kit and adhered it to the back. It gives the card texture and turns plain white card stock into something better!

Of course there is a giveaway because Shop Pumpkin Spice is SO generous!
It's a referral contest! :) Tell your friends to follow the SPS blog and have them leave a comment letting us know that you sent them! The person with the most referrals will win a $20 to the Shop Pumpkin Spice store!!! Contest will run until September 30th. Winner will be announced on the 5th before the next blog hop! :)

Now continue onto Lezlye's blog - she is our featured designer for September and has done some AWESOME things with this kit!!! Check it out and then head to the Shop Pumpkin Spice store to buy the kit HERE!

Hello and welcome to the Shop Pumpkin Spice Blog Hop!!! You should have gotten here from Saundra's blog. If not, start at the Shop Pumpkin Spice Blog! There is a giveaway for participating in the challenge!

Today we were challenged with a theme of "Labor Day" or "Back to School"... well I super stretched this one... We got married on Labor Day 2008 which happened to be September 1st that year. So this is our 4 year anniversary! Happy anniversary to the love of my life!! He has made every one of my dreams come true and I hope he can say the same for me. Love you!

Getting a card done while a baby is sleeping is... challenging... especially when that newborn only sleeps 3 hours during the day.. total. But she slept an unusual amount a few days ago and I was able to get this card done! :)

Crate Paper Thank You's Take 2!

This is my Shop Pumpkin Spice blog post for today! :)

Well, I really liked the layout of the cards that I did HERE and I needed more thank you notes, so I just copied them. I find that sometimes we over-think and want to create a whole new design. But sometimes it's enough to just tweak one you have already made!

Emmaline's Rocking Horse

This is another project that I did pre-baby for post-baby scheduling. :)

Here is a new picture of miss Emmaline! I have been on bed rest for over a week now (torture for a busy body like me!) and I cannot wait to do everything for myself again. I am a terrible patient! I also cannot wait to get into my craft room! But I love every minute with this little girl so much. I seriously just stare at her for half hours at a time. She was just in my belly!!!

She just got changed. Happy baby! She loves to be clean!

Her first Janie and Jack outfit! (I LOVE Janie and Jack!!!) The large bump on her head is a cephalhematoma. It should be gone in 2-12 weeks but you can see it in some of the pictures. Poor thing. It's seriously the size of a baseball but I keep trying to take pics from the other side! haha.

Sleepy smile!

The background 12x12 burlap frame is from Canvas Corp. I wanted to make something with it as soon as they sent it to me and I have been hoarding it for MONTHS in order to make this clean and simple wall hanging. I hope you like it!

Hmm.. This pic makes it look like the little thing underneath doesn't match the curve of the horse, but I fixed it after this photo was taken. The mini spools are from Jillibean Soup.

I'll have to show pictures of the baby room soon! :)
