Geek is Chic Release Party!

Well, I am helping to wrap up the Geek is Chic release party. If you have missed out on any of it, go check it out on the Imaginisce blog HERE because we have been bombarding you with fantastic inspiration on what you can do with these papers!!! There might also be a huge GIVEAWAY over there!

I actually made these quite a while ago so I am really excited to finally be able to share them with you!

BOOK WORM
For this card I used the Wrap it Up cartridge™. While there is already a shaped card function on this cartridge, I wanted all of the layers (I even cut a few of them multiple times to get even more options). So I ended up welding this together myself. But if you like shaped cards, this would be a GREAT one to start with as it does all the work for you!

You're the Apple of My Eye
I'll admit it: I'm such a dork. Our high school was called "York" so we were often referred to as the York Dorks (proudly so!) Anyway, I couldn't resist this wonderful pun so of course I made this card with the sunglasses - You're the Apple of My EYE - get it?!? My husband totally didn't! Haha... AND he was a York Dork too!!!

Remember that there is a challenge this month and there is only one more day to play! You could win $75 worth of goodies!!! You can check it out HERE.

The Bees are Flying the Hive

Yesterday was the final day of Betty Bee's Buzz being an active blog. So buzzzz on by and say farewell to all of the ladies!

While I flew away from the hive a few months ago, I wanted to come back for this festive finish! :)

A HUGE thank you to Betty Bee! She was the first person to ever ask me to be a part of a design team and has been such an inspiration and a mother hen for me throughout this process!

Thank you also to my sweet honeybees! The encouragement got me to new places and I think we will all be honeybees for life! :) I wish you all well!

Have a Joy Filled Christmas!

I made this for the new releases of the My Pink Stamper stamps - in this case: Biggie Christmas. This is fabulous stamp set and I simply bent the stamp around on an acrylic block to make it match the curve of the  snowman.

A lovely lady named Jennifer asked me what cartridge it came from - I have been addicted to the Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons Cartridge™ recently. You can order it from the Creative Memories site HERE or through any CM distributer. You can see all of the projects I have made with it by scrolling down and on the right side, I have "tagged" each one with the label "Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons". Thanks for the inquiry Jennifer!

This qualifies for the Jingle Belle challenge: Bling on the holidays! I thought both the stickles and the jingle bell (tee hee) would count as bling! :)

Party Time and a winner from Shop Pumpkin Spice

***SCROLL DOWN FOR THE MY PINK STAMPER BLOG HOP AND GIVEAWAY OPPORTUNITY! :) ***

This week at Peachy Keen Stamps, the challenge is to use both a face stamp and to make a shaped card...

Well, you ALL know how much I love to make shaped cards so I thought, why not!? :)

Jill from Jillibean Soup gave me a sheet of the white corrugated kraft to try cutting on the Cricut. I used a deep cut blade with the blade on 5, pressure high and speed slow. And it cut wonderfully! It wasn't absolutely perfect, but it was good enough for sure! I don't think you could cut intricate shapes very easily, but I was really pleased with the result. So thank you to Jill for giving it to me to try out! :)

Pumpkin Spice Blog Hop + MME Lost and Found Sunshine + a Giveaway!!!

Today is our very first hop to introduce the Pumpkin Spice Design Team!!!

You should have gotten here from Lenae's blog. Isn't she darling?!? If not, start at the beginning HERE at the Pumpkin Spice Blog!

Each month there will be a "featured designer" where we are allowed to create a kit! I have created 4 cards to go in the kit that I made. It is called You Are My Sunshine! Why you might ask?.? BECAUSE I am using the BRAND NEW My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Two Sunshine Collection!!! I LOVE this collection! And because I am known for calling up my girlfriends and singing this to their answering machines....

So you can make the four cards that I will be releasing with the kit that I created (and so many more! You will have quite a bit of paper left over!). I will be releasing one card every Wednesday here on my blog and on the Pumpkin Spice blog. But if you hop over to see the kit, then you'll get to see all of them!

Okay, I just saw the pricing on this kit and it is $15!!!! Crazy good! You get ALL of the Sunshine collection papers, 4  8.5x11" white cardstock (for the card bases and cuts), AND the brads, sticker stackers, burlap.... AND there is an add-on where you can get the My Pink Stamper stamps for $15.50 for one or $30 for both of the ones I used - and they are my most used My Pink Stamper stamps!!!! Crazy good! Click HERE to check it out!!!

Small print: Now I did use Cricut Cartridges for all of these and have used a few items outside of the kit, but you can improvise easily to make these work with the stash you have! :)

Without further ado, the first card is a baby card because we always need those! The next three cards will be anniversary, birthday, and thank you themed. Enjoy!

    CUTE
*I got my inspiration for this card from Cricut Magazine August 2011 - page 55 - Feeling Under the Weather by Melyssa Connolly*

    Recipe:

Here is a sneak peek of all four cards. :)

Leave a message at each stop on the blog hop as ALL of us have a prize - Pumpkin Spice is giving away a $20 gift card to the store for EACH of us!!!!! CRAZINESS! That's a total of $100 in gift cards!!! THANK YOU Pumpkin Spice!!! You have one week to leave comments and I will pick a winner next Saturday!

Now you are off to my dear, sweet, lovely, wonderful friend June's blog!

    Cards using Roly Rosies

Today at Imaginisce a few of us DT members have the privilege of showing you what Roly Rosies can look like on your various cards!

I have ALWAYS loved this tool since the minute I rolled my first flower. It's SO easy and quick and adds so much dimension! Your envelopes will definitely be stuffed and you will have to put extra postage on it because it will need to be hand sorted (I have to do that for all of my cards anyway). So grab a petal roller and some roly rosies (they have fabric ones too) and add them to a card, a broach, a hair clip, a headband or even a necklace and enjoy! :)

    True Love
The inspiration for this card came from a home decor project that fellow DT member Aphra Bolyer did HERE
